Maison 21G is an international 'house of scent designers' - founded by industry veteran Johanna Monange and operating ateliers across cities including Singapore and Paris - with a verified London presence at L'ART, a luxury wellness and creative space at 37 Thurloe Street in South Kensington, directly outside South Kensington station. We flag the international parentage deliberately: this is a global brand delivering its London experience through a local partner, not a homegrown UK studio, but the London atelier is real and bookable.

The signature London session is the couples-oriented Bespoke Love workshop: 1.5 hours, one to two guests, £360 in total. Guided by the house's scent designers, you each explore over 25 fragrances to find the notes you love, blend your own individual 30ml Eau de Parfum, then together create a third 'love fragrance' to represent the pair of you. Each guest goes home with their bespoke 30ml pure Eau de Parfum, a recreatable formula and a branded keepsake bag. A bridal version runs at £720 for larger parties.

The pitch is firmly gift-and-occasion: it is polished, photogenic and beginner-friendly, with the 'Parisian house' branding doing a lot of the atmospheric work. You are choosing and blending from the house's designer accords rather than learning perfumery from raw materials, so the value is in the experience and the genuinely full-ish 30ml take-home, not in technical instruction.

Who should look elsewhere: anyone after a serious perfumery education (try 4160 Tuesdays, Karen Gilbert or Cotswold), or anyone outside London - the in-person session is South Kensington only. At £360 for up to two people it is also a premium spend, best framed as a special-occasion or couples gift rather than a casual afternoon.
