Alexandra Carlin is a distinguished French perfumer who has made significant contributions to the modern fragrance landscape. Currently a Senior Perfumer at IFF, she has previously held key roles at Symrise and Robertet, two renowned fragrance houses. Carlin discovered her passion for scent at the age of 18 and pursued formal studies at ISIPCA, the respected perfume school in Versailles. She began her career at Robertet in Grasse, the cradle of French perfumery, before joining Symrise in 2007 as a Junior Perfumer. Over the years, Carlin has collaborated with some of the world's most prestigious brands, including Amouage, Ferrari, BDK Parfums, and Victoria's Secret, among many others. Her creative process is deeply influenced by her love of literature and movement, drawing inspiration from the atmospheres and emotions evoked in books, as well as from pursuits such as horseback riding and dance. Recognized for her artistic sensitivity, Carlin was honored with the Center of Luxury and Creation award in 2019. With a portfolio exceeding 100 fragrances, she continues to shape olfactory trends and express her unique vision through a diverse range of celebrated compositions.
