Alexandra Kalle is a German perfumer and Head of Fragrance Development at the fragrance house Mäurer & Wirtz, whose portfolio includes 4711 Original Eau de Cologne, Tabac, Baldessarini, s.Oliver and Otto Kern (Capital.de, company/press materials). Based at the company’s “House of Perfumes” near Aachen/Stolberg, she leads fragrance development and evaluation rather than composing alone, working closely with marketers and external perfumers (DW “Talking Germany”, my-inspiration-book profile). Beginning her career in marketing, she discovered her olfactory talent in her late twenties during a scent test at a fragrance company and subsequently trained as a fragrance developer (DW, Pfeffer-Magazin).
