About
Alp Veliogullari is an independent perfumer working in France. By his own account on the Katana Parfums site, he began in 2012 by acquiring traditional oils and incense from India, then started composing perfumes and attars for personal use from raw natural materials, with oud as a focus. He launched his own house, Katana Parfums, at the beginning of 2021, with products designed and developed in France. Parfumo credits him with 58 perfumes, mostly for Katana, and also with fragrances for other houses, including Vetuza Milano (Gelato), Khorys, Al Fanak, Alius Odorem and Nebiru Parfvms. His Katana range includes Santal Segar (2021), Fleur de Oud, Khaan, Hayal, Oud Chaotique, Tabac Mystique and Jardin Kitayama.
