Andrea Maack
Conceptual, art-driven fragrances developed from scented installations and visual-art projects, with recurring references to Icelandic landscapes and materials. The collection includes Coal, a woody aromatic fragrance created with perfumer Richard Ibanez, and Ceramic, an aromatic green fragrance with freesia, green leaves, apple, white flowers, lily-of-the-valley, musk and amber.
About
Andrea Maack is an Icelandic visual artist and founder of the Andrea Maack fragrance brand. She graduated with a BA in Fine Arts from the Icelandic Academy of the Arts in 2005 and began working with scent through art exhibitions in Reykjavík. Her brand developed from these scented installations and launched its first collection, Eau de Parfum, in 2010. Named fragrances associated with the brand include Smart, Coal, Soft Tension, Coven and Ceramic.
