About
Antonio Gardoni is an Italian architect and autodidact perfumer best known as the founder and in-house nose of the niche brand Bogue Profumo, listed as his company on Fragrantica and his own web presence. Before focusing on fragrance he founded the design firm Jump Studios in London, working as an architect and designer. Gardoni’s first official perfume was Maai for Bogue Profumo, which he has described in interview with Zoologist Perfumes as his first “proper” release. He later created O/E as his second fragrance for Bogue, and has also composed perfumes for other houses, including Gardelia for Profumeria Sacro Cuore in Bologna and Aeon 001 for the Swiss brand Aeon. He has publicly stated that he formulates at very high concentrations, typically above 20 percent, and works extensively with natural raw materials.
