Caren Roberts is a UK-based perfumer credited on two fragrances from the London house Jouissance, En Plein Air and Les Cahiers Secrets, both released in 2024. Jouissance names her as the perfumer on each product page, and stockists such as Liberty London repeat the credit.
Jouissance's founder describes En Plein Air as made in collaboration with Roberts at Sozio, the French fragrance house whose British arm, in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, traded as Phoenix Fragrances until it rebranded in November 2022.
The founder describes an open working process. She set the literary starting point for each scent, and the perfumer shaped the formula around it. She says the cumin that warms Les Cahiers Secrets was the perfumer's idea, not hers, and that she was unsure of it at first.
Little else is published about Roberts's wider career. The two Jouissance fragrances are her only credited work so far.
