Cécile Hua (also credited as Cécile Krakower) is a French perfumer of French and Vietnamese heritage, born in Marseille. After earning a master’s degree in chemistry and marketing at Université de Provence, she trained from 1996 to 1999 at the invitation‑only Givaudan‑Roure Perfumery School in Grasse, graduating first in her class. She then spent around 15 years in Paris and New York working in luxury fine fragrance before expanding into consumer products. Hua has created numerous fragrances, including Grand Néroli for Atelier Cologne and several launches for brands such as Philosophy and Ralph Lauren. She works as a senior/creative perfumer at MANE in the USA and has also run Bespoke Fragrance as principal perfumer since 2009. Her industry recognition includes the Fashion Group International Rising Star Award for Fragrance Design in 2003 and a 2016 Perfumer Recognition Award from WFFC, and she has served on the board and as vice president of the American Society of Perfumers.
