Germany Born 1971 ALREHAB PERFUMES

Plesch often cites unconventional inspirations such as punk, caffeine, and visual art, and reflects this in minimalist yet edgy compositions. He frequently works with pepper, cardamom, ginger, and clean ambery woods, using them in a restrained, bright, and textural way. His NASENGOLD fragrances emphasize clarity and directness, avoiding heavy ornamentation while remaining immediately wearable.

About

Christian Plesch (born 1971) is a Hamburg-based perfumer who combines work in the fragrance industry with his own independent brand. He trained in the German perfumery tradition at Haarmann & Reimer in Holzminden before moving to Paris as a junior perfumer, where he was mentored by Mark Buxton. Plesch later joined the perfumery team at Düllberg Konzentra in Hamburg, creating fragrances for fine fragrance and lifestyle briefs. Alongside this, he founded the indie label NASENGOLD, under which he releases his own “author” perfumes. He has composed scents such as L for Nasengold (2017), Kirk for Star Trek (2017), and Wackelwasser Dark and Wackelwasser Light for Wackelwasser (2017).
