About
Christian Vermorel is a French perfumer who grew up in Grasse in a family deeply involved with scent: his father was a master perfumer and his grandfather a horticulturist, giving him early exposure to fields and greenhouses full of flowers. He moved to New York City at age nine and later played in a folk rock band in the late 1960s and 1970s. Vermorel entered the fragrance industry as an apprentice perfumer at Naarden. In the 1990s he settled back in France and, in 1996, joined MANE in Paris as a senior perfumer. Since 2001 he has worked from MANE’s headquarters in Bar-sur-Loup in the south of France.
