Courtney Somer is the founder and chief creative officer of Lake & Skye, a clean fragrance and wellness brand she started in 2015 after an earlier health crisis in her twenties led her to explore alternative healing. Based in New York, she develops the brand’s fragrances, essential-oil blends, floral waters and candles, which focus on the intersection of wellness and scent. Somer has formally studied aromatherapy, reiki, nutrition and meditation, and she is a certified Kundalini and prenatal yoga teacher, disciplines she cites as informing Lake & Skye’s product concepts, naming and formulations.
