About

Elodie Durande is a French perfumer who grew up in rural Normandy and is now based in Brighton, England. She studied chemistry and completed the ProPAC fragrance and flavors program at the University of Montpellier, where she also interned in Grasse. In 2014 she joined Quintessence Fragrances as an intern, moving into the evaluation team within six months and later training as a junior perfumer under master perfumer François Robert, becoming a perfumer in January 2019. She has worked at Quintessence as a perfumer since 2020 and, since 2024, serves as in-house perfumer and head nose for natural perfume house Ffern, taking the creative lead on its quarterly seasonal fragrances.
