About

Emrys Au is a Malaysian perfumer and co-founder of the independent perfume house Auphorie, established with his brother Eugene Au in Kuala Lumpur in 2015. The brothers previously worked in the food and beverage industry and learned perfumery as autodidacts. Their fragrance Miyako won a Golden Pear in the Artisan category at the 2016 Art and Olfaction Awards. Au's documented Auphorie compositions include Eau De Nyonya, created with Eugene Au in 2016, and Song Of Everlasting Sorrow, composed by the brothers in 2020.
