Eugene Au is a self-taught perfumer and co-founder of the Malaysian independent fragrance house Auphorie with his brother, Emrys Au. The brand was founded in Kuala Lumpur and launched its first perfume line in 2015. Au is primarily responsible for Auphorie's creative direction; the house's fragrances are handcrafted in Malaysia. His documented credits include Auphorie fragrances such as Archipelago (2015), Binturong (2016), and Mayura (2018), created with Emrys Au.
