Francis Bocris

France Born 0 Paloma Picasso

Based on Paloma Picasso (1984) and Cher Uninhibited (1987), Francis Bocris appears to favor rich, complex floral chypre structures with pronounced **aldehydic** openings, spicy facets such as **coriander** and **clove**, and dense floral hearts featuring **rose**, **ylang-ylang**, **jasmine** and other white or yellow florals.[1][4][6] His bases often combine **oakmoss**, **patchouli**, **sandalwood**, **vetiver**, **tobacco** and animalic notes like **civet** and **castoreum**, yielding opulent, mossy-ambery drydowns.[1][4][6]

About

Francis Bocris is a French perfumer who worked for the French fragrance firm Créations Aromatiques. He is best known for composing Paloma Picasso by Paloma Picasso, a floral chypre fragrance launched in 1984 and developed in close collaboration with Paloma Picasso herself. Bocris also created Uninhibited by Cher, released in 1987, a rich aldehydic floral fragrance produced during his tenure at Créations Aromatiques. His work on Paloma Picasso in particular is frequently cited in perfume writing for its complex structure and prominent notes of coriander, angelica, floral accords and a mossy, animalic base.
