Francis Bocris

France Born 0 Paloma Picasso

Based on Paloma Picasso (1984) and Cher Uninhibited (1987), Francis Bocris appears to favor rich, complex floral chypre structures with pronounced **aldehydic** openings, spicy facets such as **coriander** and **clove**, and dense floral hearts featuring **rose**, **ylang-ylang**, **jasmine** and other white or yellow florals.[1][4][6] His bases often combine **oakmoss**, **patchouli**, **sandalwood**, **vetiver**, **tobacco** and animalic notes like **civet** and **castoreum**, yielding opulent, mossy-ambery drydowns.[1][4][6]

About

Francis Bocris is a French perfumer who worked for the French fragrance firm Créations Aromatiques.[5][4] He is best known for composing Paloma Picasso by Paloma Picasso, a floral chypre fragrance launched in 1984 and developed in close collaboration with Paloma Picasso herself.[4][6] Bocris also created Uninhibited by Cher, released in 1987, a rich aldehydic floral fragrance produced during his tenure at Créations Aromatiques.[1][5] His work on Paloma Picasso in particular is frequently cited in perfume writing for its complex structure and prominent notes of coriander, angelica, floral accords and a mossy, animalic base.[4][6]
