Gökhan Şimşek is a Turkish perfumer, born and raised in Turkey and now based in Paris, often described as the world capital of luxury and perfume (Scentissime). He studied chemistry at Istanbul University, where he first became interested in scent science and began experimenting with his own compositions, and later enrolled at the Institut de parfumerie de Grasse in France to train in perfumery (Scentissime). Şimşek has created fragrances for several niche brands and is notably credited with Äican for Kajal Parfums Paris (Scentissime). Other perfumes attributed to him include Crush on Me, Endless Love, Endless Sea, Flamingo Fizz, Royal Oud and Tea on a Cruise (Scentissime).
