Frequently works with rose and other Turkish-grown botanicals, reflecting his origins in Isparta’s rose industry. His work spans fine fragrance, personal care and home care, with a strong technical focus supported by early adoption of GC-MS analysis and automated compounding technologies at EPS Fragrances.
Hüseyin Erdoğmuş is a Turkish perfumer and fragrance entrepreneur, born and raised in Isparta, Turkey’s historic rose-oil region, where he grew up surrounded by rose oil production. He graduated in 1974 from the Chemical Engineering department of Middle East Technical University (ODTÜ) in Ankara. After university he joined Eyüp Sabri Tuncer AŞ as a perfumer and production director, working on the ambitious goal of producing rose oil synthetically. In 1981 he founded his own company, Erdoğmuş Perfume Industry / EPS Fragrances, which he leads as owner and master perfumer. EPS opened a rose and essential-oil distillation plant in Isparta in 1984 and later, in 2005, a factory with fully automated robotic compounding in Kemerburgaz, Istanbul. Through EPS he has created dozens of fragrances for various brands, and the company became one of the first GC-MS users in Turkey, underscoring his role in modernising the country’s fragrance industry.
