Ilias Ermenidis is a renowned perfumer celebrated for his mastery of fragrance creation and his ability to blend cultural influences into his work. Born in Constantinople and raised in Athens, Ermenidis developed an early fascination with scent during summers spent at his father's flavors and fragrance factory in Istanbul. This passion led him to study at ISIPCA in Paris, one of the world’s leading perfumery schools. He was the first perfumer trainee hired by Firmenich, a milestone that marked the beginning of a long and fruitful career with the company, now dsm-firmenich. Over the years, Ermenidis has lived and worked in Paris, Geneva, and New York, enriching his creative outlook through diverse experiences. His multicultural background and Greek heritage shine through in his creations, while his artistic process draws inspiration from the worlds of art and opera. With a portfolio spanning nearly 200 fragrances for brands such as Gucci, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, and Vera Wang, Ermenidis is known for his generosity, warmth, and collaborative spirit. Despite his achievements, he continues to approach perfumery with humility and a constant desire to innovate.
