Jean Claude Delville is a highly respected French perfumer celebrated for his innovative approach and creative vision within the fragrance industry. Born in Paris, Delville began his journey into perfumery at just 17 years old, inspired by a love of colors, music, and floral arrangements. Over the course of his distinguished career, he has worked with many of the world's leading fragrance companies, including Quest, Creations Aromatiques, IFF, Firmenich, Symrise, and Drom, as well as co-founding The Society of Scent in New York City. Delville has developed fragrances for an impressive roster of luxury brands and designers such as Givenchy, Kenzo, Marc Jacobs, Jo Malone, and Vera Wang. His most iconic creation, Clinique Happy, became a global phenomenon and was inducted into the Fragrance Foundation Hall of Fame in 2014. Renowned for his humility and passion for exploration, Delville draws inspiration from travel and diverse cultures, aiming to craft scents that evoke emotion and tell compelling stories. Today, he continues to push the boundaries of perfumery, leading The Society of Scent and nurturing the next generation of olfactory artistry.
