John-Paul Welton is the founder and in-house perfumer of Welton London, a niche fragrance house operating between London, Paris and Grasse. A self-taught nose with a diplomatic background, Welton built the brand around an idea of fragrance as cultivated conversation - olfactory invitations rather than declarations. He composes alongside his partner Aline Welton; together they oversee every release from the brand's Grasse workshop and have built a catalogue of over nineteen perfumes.
