Jordi Fernández is a senior perfumer at Givaudan, born and raised in Catalonia, Spain. Uniquely self-taught, Jordi bypassed the traditional ISIPCA school route, instead forging his own path into perfumery. He began his career at Eurofragrance, a Barcelona-based family company, where he quickly established a reputation for creative flair and scientific acumen. In 2010, Jordi joined Givaudan, enabling him to collaborate with global luxury brands such as Montblanc, Carolina Herrera, Versace, Maison Crivelli, Ex Nihilo, and Nishane. Renowned for his mastery of oud and Middle Eastern fragrance traditions, he has immersed himself in regional culture to authentically capture its olfactory preferences. Jordi’s style is notably versatile, spanning minimalist compositions like Montblanc Explorer to lush, opulent scents and genderless creations. His portfolio now encompasses over 200 fragrances, many celebrated for their bold sillage, longevity, and evocative storytelling rooted in nature, memory, and travel. Through his work, Jordi seeks to reflect both the beauty of the natural world and the evolving spirit of contemporary society.
