Louis-Toussaint Piver was a French perfumer and businessman who took over the perfume and glove enterprise founded by Michel Adam in 1774, becoming its head in 1813. He later renamed the firm after himself, giving rise to the L.T. Piver perfume house, one of the founding houses of modern French perfumery. Under his name, the company supplied perfumes to European royal courts and expanded its product range and international presence, establishing the basis for the historic L.T. Piver brand that continues today.
