About
Luz Vaquero is a Spanish perfumer and Global Fragrance Creation Director at Iberchem, based in Murcia. A chemistry graduate, she joined Iberchem in 1999 as a laboratory manager and has worked there since, becoming a perfumer in 2003 and later heading the global creation center. She leads and mentors perfumery teams in Spain, France, China and India and has created an in‑house training school within the company. Vaquero was elected an Academician of the Academia del Perfume in Spain and created the official perfume of Spain for Expo 2020 in Dubai. Her work also includes olfactory-cultural projects such as the “Notes & Accords” concert with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Murcia and the exhibition “La policromía de las fragancias” with artist and academic Ernesto Ventós.
