Marcel Carles

Marcel Carles was a French perfumer associated with Roure, the historic fragrance house later incorporated into Givaudan. He trained and worked within the Roure/Givaudan ecosystem and is documented as one of the perfumers formed under the teaching framework established by his father, Jean Carles, at the Roure Perfumery School in Grasse. According to Per Fumus and historical accounts of the school, Marcel succeeded Jean Carles as director of the Roure Perfumery School, continuing its structured, method-based training approach for subsequent generations of perfumers.
