Built around the Jean Carles/Roure method: mental memorization of materials, clear structural composition, and associative pairings between raw materials and their odor images.
Maurizio Cerizza grew up in Milan in a family tied to EMA (Aromatic Essences and Materials), founded in 1946. He trained at the Roure Bertrand Dupont school under René Ricord, a former assistant to Jean Carles, whose method of memorizing fragrances and classifying them into 15 olfactory families shaped Cerizza's working method. He has also been cited as creator of the Septimontium II collection and is noted as a perfumer for updated scents in the revival of Acqua di Biella.
