Michel Girard is a renowned French perfumer whose roots in Grasse, the historical heart of perfumery, shaped his destiny from an early age. Born in 1957, he grew up surrounded by the captivating scents and traditions of the fragrance world. After graduating from Lycée Fénelon in Grasse in 1974, Girard honed his craft by working with several esteemed fragrance companies, including Robertet and Quest International, where he achieved the rank of Senior Perfumer. In 1998, he joined Givaudan, one of the leading houses in the industry, and has since become one of their most respected creators. Over his distinguished career, Girard has collaborated with prestigious brands such as Givenchy, Gucci, Jennifer Lopez, and Valentino, earning a reputation for versatility and creativity. He is celebrated for bringing his Grasse heritage and global perspective to his compositions, resulting in a diverse array of fragrances that have become modern icons. Among his major achievements is his instrumental role in the creation of Paco Rabanne's 1 Million, a scent that has become a global bestseller and a symbol of his talent. Today, as a third-generation perfumer, Girard continues to inspire the industry with his passion and mastery of the olfactory arts.
