Nathalie Lorson is a highly respected Master Perfumer from France whose career is marked by both technical mastery and a pioneering spirit. Raised in Grasse, the heart of perfumery, she was introduced to the world of scents by her father, a chemist at Roure. Her passion for fragrance was evident from an early age, leading her to study at the renowned Roure Bertrand Dupont (now Givaudan Perfumery School). As one of the few women entering the industry in the 1980s, Lorson broke barriers and quickly established herself as an innovative and prolific creator. She began her professional journey at IFF in 1987 before joining Firmenich in 2000, where she became one of the rare noses to achieve the title of Master Perfumer. Lorson has crafted hundreds of fragrances across all sectors-designer, niche, and celebrity-collaborating with brands such as Lalique, Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci, Giorgio Armani, Givenchy, and many more. Her portfolio includes landmark creations like Lalique Encre Noire, YSL Black Opium (in collaboration), and numerous bestsellers for both men and women. Renowned for her dedication, humility, and drive to explore new olfactive territories, Lorson continues to inspire with her dynamic approach and commitment to enriching the fragrance world.
