About

Nicolas Bonneville is a prominent French perfumer currently working with dsm-firmenich, one of the world's leading fragrance and flavor companies. His passion for perfumery was sparked at age 12 during a formative trip to Grasse, the historic heart of French fragrance. After completing his chemistry studies, he refined his craft under the mentorship of Jacques Maurel in Grasse, immersing himself in both the traditional and innovative aspects of scent creation. Bonneville is known for his global approach, traveling extensively to source exceptional natural ingredients such as jasmine sambac from India, iris from Florence, and citrus from Italy. His creative process is deeply inspired by nature, art, and the collaborative spirit he admires in competitive pursuits like auto racing. Over his career, Bonneville has crafted fragrances for an impressive roster of brands, including Givenchy, Jo Malone London, Dries Van Noten, and Avon, with more than 60 creations to his name.
