About

Paulo de Moraes is a Brazilian perfumer with a background in biochemistry studied in Brazil. He began his fragrance career as a perfumer’s assistant at Quest International before moving into full creative roles. In 2016 he joined the LUZI perfumers team in Switzerland, where he develops fragrances, including projects for major Brazilian brands. His work is strongly influenced by his Brazilian roots, frequently using local ingredients such as cashew, sour lemon and white florals like jasmine, and he has highlighted the scent of the manaca tree from São Paulo’s rainforests as a personal reference point in his compositions.
