About
Renier Rodríguez Méndez is a Cuban-born painter and perfumer, founder and creative director of the independent niche house Renier Perfumes. He moved to Europe in the late 2000s, living in Spain around 2007-2008, where meeting perfumer Daniel Josier encouraged him to create his own fragrance brand that unites his visual art with perfumery. Renier Perfumes is based in Europe (with strong ties to Prague and the Czech Republic), and its collections are presented as extensions of his paintings, with bottles and stories often directly linked to specific artworks. He works as an independent perfumer for his own house and has also been named as a collaborating perfumer for Spanish brand Nbitor Perfums. His line includes scents such as Amor Vertical, Kisses Rain, Oud Rain, De Lirius, Musky Rain, Baracoa and Paloma, all positioned within the niche artistic segment.
