Rodrigo Flores-Roux is a celebrated Mexican perfumer, born and raised in Mexico City, whose journey into fragrance began with an early passion for scent. He initially studied biology in Mexico before moving to France at age 20 to attend ISIPCA, the esteemed perfume school in Versailles. During his studies, he interned with the renowned Jean-Claude Ellena, further refining his craft. Flores-Roux began his career creating scents for shampoos and cosmetics, but achieved his breakthrough with the iconic Clinique Happy, a fragrance that propelled him to international recognition. Currently, he serves as Senior Perfumer and Vice President of Fragrance Creation at Givaudan, one of the world's leading fragrance houses. His prolific work spans collaborations with top global brands such as Tom Ford, John Varvatos, Dolce & Gabbana, DKNY, Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, Carolina Herrera, Tommy Hilfiger, and Estée Lauder. Over his career, Flores-Roux has garnered numerous FiFi Awards and was inducted into the Fragrance Foundation Hall of Fame. His creations are celebrated for their originality, emotional resonance, and distinctive personality, with several becoming modern classics and bestsellers. He draws deeply from his Mexican heritage and love of flowers, infusing his work with a unique vibrancy and storytelling flair.
