Australian-born Rosie Jane Johnston trained as a makeup artist before moving to Los Angeles at 21, where she built her clientele. She founded Rosie Jane Cosmetics in 2003 and launched By Rosie Jane in 2010. By Rosie Jane is made in Los Angeles at Johnston’s Silver Lake studio, and the brand has expanded into perfume, perfume oils, and body care sold at Sephora.
