Minuit et Demi
Eau de Parfum
Fragrance Du Bois
Bengana is associated with rich, Middle Eastern-influenced compositions, often blending oriental-ambery and gourmand facets with woods and oud, as seen in Minuit et Demi and Aigner No 1 Oud. His background at Payan Bertrand in Grasse also gives him a strong command of natural raw materials, which he integrates into modern Arabic-style and woody-citrus designs such as Nubes.
Stéphane Bengana is a French perfumer from Clermont-Ferrand in central France. After earning a Masters degree in Chemistry and a DESS-level perfumery qualification at ISIPCA in Versailles, he began his career in Paris with Haarmann & Reimer. He later moved to Grasse to work at Payan Bertrand as a trainee perfumer, developing a strong expertise in natural ingredients. Bengana subsequently relocated to Dubai, initially joining CPL Aromas as a senior perfumer and later becoming Perfumery Director during a nine-year tenure. Since around 2010 he has been based in Dubai as a senior perfumer with Symrise. His credited creations include Minuit et Demi (Fragrance Du Bois, 2020), Nubes and Ted’s Sweet (for Ted Lapidus), as well as Aigner No 1 Oud for Etienne Aigner.
