Stephanie Wilkinson is a British perfumer based in the Cotswolds who composes fragrances under her own house Fragrances by Stephanie (fragrancesbystephanie.co.uk) and on collaboration projects for other British brands. Her work centres on natural-oil-led blends prepared by hand at her Cotswolds studio. She is the nose behind Thomson Carter's 2025 Are You Vanilla? Day and Are You Vanilla? Night, plus the 2024 Smoke & Mirrors composition for the same house. In her own words for the Are You Vanilla? release: 'I wanted to make vanilla feel lighter, almost weightless, like sunlight warming skin through a soft layer of cashmere. Too often vanilla is heavy or overly sweet. I wanted the opposite. Airy, creamy, and touched with a whisper of spice, it's modern, subtle, and endlessly wearable.' Her signature is an emphasis on weightless airy structures over the dense gourmand or oud-heavy style common in contemporary British niche.
