Hugo Boss
Frequently associated with modern feminine compositions for fashion and celebrity brands, including fruity-floral and woody-oriental structures as seen in Hugo Woman and Boss Intense for Hugo Boss, along with luminous floral accords used in her work for Naomi Campbell and Nina Cerruti.
Ursula Wandel is a Swiss-based perfumer and Vice President of Fine Fragrance at Givaudan, where she works as a senior perfumer. She trained at the Givaudan perfumery school in Geneva after initially studying chemistry and pursuing an interest in photography, which led her into fragrance creation. At the school she spent her first year learning around 3,000 natural and synthetic raw materials, then refined her technique by reconstructing famous perfumes before composing her own. Wandel is credited with major launches including Hugo Woman (Hugo Boss, 1997), Boss Intense and Boss Soul for Hugo Boss, as well as five fragrances for Nina Cerruti and scents for supermodels Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell. She has also collaborated on celebrity projects such as a Lady Gaga fragrance developed with Haus Laboratories.
