Xavier Renard is a French perfumer and fragrance executive who studied perfumery in Grasse, France after spending his first year of college in the United States. He joined Givaudan early in his career and spent around 20 years there in roles based in Geneva, Hong Kong and New York, moving from creation into more business-focused positions. After a period away, he returned to Givaudan in 2017 as Head of Fine Fragrances Europe and was appointed Global Head of Fine Fragrances in 2021, overseeing the company’s worldwide fine fragrance activities from creation to sales. As a perfumer, his credits include Avon Far Away (1994, co-created with René Morgenthaler), Aramis Havana, and Nicole Miller by Nicole Miller (1993).
