About Jasper Conran

Jasper Conran is the eponymous label of the British designer Jasper Conran OBE, son of Sir Terence Conran. He won British Fashion Council Designer of the Year in 1986 and a Laurence Olivier Award for costume design in 1991, and was appointed OBE in 2008 for services to retail. The label covers womenswear, accessories, a long running tableware range for Wedgwood and, since 2003, fragrance. The fragrance line opened that year with the paired Jasper Conran Woman and Jasper Conran Man, later reissued as Signature Woman and Signature Man, and was followed by the II Woman and II Man flankers. Named perfumers on the line include Beverley Bayne and Christian Provenzano. The scents echo the tailored, understated Britishness of the clothing, favouring clean citrus openings, soft florals and dry woody bases, and they sell widely through UK high street perfumeries. The house now markets a separate Jasper Conran London fragrance collection, distinct from the 2003 era designer scents.
