About

Bruno Fazzolari is a San Francisco painter and self-taught perfumer, the founder and only perfumer of FZOTIC. By his own account he began blending fragrances while working in his painting studio, after years as an art professor, and showed them alongside his paintings.

He has no formal perfumery training and says he taught himself through years of trial and error. Every FZOTIC scent is composed at his workbench in his home studio, with slow development, testing and revision.

Lampblack, his first best seller, was awarded four stars by Luca Turin and named a Top Ten pick by Artforum, according to the house. He has since released scents including Monserrat, Ummagumma, Vetiverissimo, Corpse Reviver, Lilac Brûlée, Deixis and Creosote.
