Jérôme di Marino is a contemporary French perfumer celebrated for his creativity, technical expertise, and versatility. Growing up in Nice near Grasse, di Marino's initial interests lay in the arts, but his scientific studies eventually led him to the world of perfumery. He began his career with a two-year internship as a trainee perfumer at Givaudan, followed by a role as an evaluator on the olfactive development team at Givenchy Parfums. His journey continued at Takasago International Corporation, where he was mentored by renowned perfumer Francis Kurkdjian. Under Kurkdjian's guidance, di Marino honed his creative process, learning to craft impactful compositions with concise, expressive formulas. Currently working at Mane, di Marino has collaborated with a wide range of prestigious brands such as Burberry, Kenzo, Elie Saab, Paco Rabanne, and Ted Lapidus. His portfolio spans both commercial and niche fragrances, and he is known for championing the importance of the perfumer's voice in the creation process. Among his many achievements, he is especially proud of works like Mr. Burberry Element, which showcase his fondness for complex contrasts and nuanced raw materials.
