About

Julie Pluchet is a French senior perfumer whose career has been shaped by her rural upbringing and lifelong fascination with scent. Growing up in the French countryside in a family deeply passionate about nature, Julie found inspiration in the world around her, which continues to inform her creative process. After earning a Master of Chemistry in 2003, she began her professional journey as a chemist at Mane in Grasse, the historic heartland of perfumery. Her passion soon led her to the Grasse Institute of Perfumery, where she trained under notable perfumers Max Gavarry and Isabelle Burdel. Julie further honed her craft during five years as a perfumer in Paris before relocating to the UK in 2012. Since 2014, she has been a key figure in CPL Aromas’ UK division, developing a diverse portfolio of fragrances for brands such as Clive Christian, Atkinsons, Miller Harris, Penhaligon’s, The 7 Virtues, and Molton Brown. Julie is recognized for her ability to blend creativity with the evolving demands of the market, prioritizing transparency and sustainability in her work. Her background in both science and artistry enables her to approach perfumery with a unique perspective, infusing her fragrances with emotion, memory, and a strong connection to nature.
