Killian Wells is a New York-born perfumer and founder of Xyrena, which he co-founded in 2014 and began building as a fragrance brand in 2015. He told Perfumer & Flavorist that he had no formal chemistry degree or traditional-house apprenticeship and started learning perfumery after finding outside formulators could not realize his avant-garde ideas. Silloria reports that his 2016 fragrance Dark Ride won the Viewer’s Choice award at the Institute of Art and Olfaction.
