Luca Gritti is an Italian entrepreneur and self-taught perfumer, a descendant of the historic Venetian Gritti dynasty known for spice trading. After working for years as a third-party producer for major cosmetic brands and taking charge of his family business in the early 2000s, he founded his own perfume house Gritti Venetia (also called Gritti Fragrances) around 2009-2010. As owner and creative director of the brand, he designs the collections and oversees details such as the hand-made caps of the White Collection and the velvet boxes of Gritti Privé. One of his notable fragrances is Monica, originally created as a personal perfume for his wife before being released commercially. His more recent compositions include Vanilla Tanà, Muskaria, Violet Venom and Éclectique.
