Based on his work for Mischief Academy, Luis Hou frequently explores gourmand and storytelling themes, using edible and fairytale-inspired accords such as mooncake, almond milk, and pastry-like confections within narrative concepts like Hansel & Gretel or The Cursed Apple.[1][3]
About
Luis Hou is a Panamanian perfumer, born and raised in Panama, who works as a junior perfumer at International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) in fine fragrance. He studied perfumery at ISIPCA in Versailles from 2017 to 2020 before joining IFF. Hou is based in Paris, where he creates fragrances as part of IFF’s Art of Perfumery program. His compositions include d’Annam for Flair, as well as several perfumes for the independent house Mischief Academy, such as Mooncake, Almond Milk, Hansel & Gretel, The Cursed Apple, and The Little Mermaid.
