About
Margherita Carini is an Italian perfumer originally from Bologna who trained at ISIPCA in Versailles, completing the European Fragrance and Cosmetics Master between 2015 and 2017. She first studied pharmacy at the University of Bologna, earning a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2014. In 2018 she entered Symrise’s in‑house perfumery school, undertaking roughly three years of creative and technical apprenticeship in Holzminden and other Symrise sites under the mentorship of Alienor Massenet. She became a junior fine fragrance perfumer at Symrise in Paris in 2021 and joined the Symrise fine fragrance team in Dubai in 2023. In 2025 she moved to Givaudan as a fine fragrance perfumer based at its Concord creative center in Dubai. Her portfolio includes scents such as Over.Dose for Scentologia, Elixir of Extraction and Elixir of Attraction for Perfume Cult, The Guardian of Heaven for Aurora, Noir and Cuir for Al Majed Oud, Safran-Neroli for Affinessence, and Rêve for Mémoires d’Amour.
