About

Mathilde Bijaoui is a Paris-born perfumer celebrated for her sharp and pure creative style. Influenced by her father's North African heritage and her mother's French roots, Bijaoui's early fascination with scent began in the bustling markets of Paris, where she developed a keen sense of smell through culinary exploration. Her passion for perfumery was ignited after a formative visit to the Osmothèque in Versailles, prompting her to pursue studies at the renowned ISIPCA school following two years of chemistry. Bijaoui joined the fragrance company MANE in 2004, first working in Bar-sur-Loup before relocating to Paris. Over her career, she has become known for her ability to translate memories, emotions, and textures into fragrance, collaborating with a wide array of prestigious brands such as Jo Malone London, BDK Parfums, Lalique, Etat Libre d'Orange, and Zadig & Voltaire. Her portfolio is extensive, with over 70 perfumes to her name, and she is recognized for her capacity to reflect each brand's identity while maintaining her distinctive olfactory signature. Bijaoui continues to enchant the fragrance world by weaving elements from her diverse background and personal experiences into her compositions.
