About

Michel Almairac, born in Grasse in 1953, is celebrated as one of the most prolific and influential French perfumers of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. After graduating from the esteemed Roure Bertrand Dupont perfumery school, now part of Givaudan, Almairac embarked on a distinguished career that spanned some of the industry’s most respected fragrance houses, including Takasago, Creations Aromatiques, Drom, and later Robertet. His creative journey led to collaborations with household names such as Dior, Burberry, Gucci, Chloé, and Bottega Veneta, where his work helped define the olfactory signatures of these brands. Almairac is credited with iconic compositions like Eau de Gucci, Joop! Homme, L'Artisan Parfumeur Voleur de Roses, and Le Labo Ambrette 9, as well as launching the first fragrances for Bottega Veneta and Zadig & Voltaire. In 2016, he realized a personal dream by co-founding Parle Moi de Parfum with his sons, offering him the rare freedom to craft fragrances guided solely by his own vision without commercial constraints. Almairac’s legacy is marked by his elegant, harmonious creations and a deep understanding of brand identity, positioning him as a revered master whose influence continues to shape modern perfumery.
