Loewe
Sources describe Cruelles as favoring classic perfumery components reinterpreted in innovative ways, often drawing on natural objects and everyday botanicals. At Loewe she has become known for green, vegetal and textural accords such as tomato leaf, wet soil and plant stems, translating overlooked natural smells into refined fragrances and home scents. She emphasizes storytelling through ingredients, working closely with Jonathan Anderson to build coherent olfactory universes that feel disruptive yet grounded in tradition.
Núria Cruelles is a Spanish perfumer from Catalonia and the in-house perfumer for Loewe, where she has led the creation process for all the brand’s fragrances for several years. She trained as a chemist and began her career about two decades ago at International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), later working at companies including Eurofragances and Ravetllat Aromatics before moving to Loewe Perfumes. Cruelles is noted as Loewe’s first female in-house nose and collaborates closely with creative director Jonathan Anderson on both perfumes and home scents. She is also a certified sommelier and teaches at ELISAVA design school, linking her expertise in wine, luxury and olfactory creation.
