Charming Tuberose
Eau de Parfum
Majouri
Frequently inspired by the landscapes and vegetation of Provence, Rémi Barbier favors aromatic, woody and resinous notes such as thyme, rosemary, pine and cistus. His work for brands like Jeanne en Provence and Kensla Studio often emphasizes fresh, natural facets with a clear seasonal contrast, as seen in the opposing characters of O.P.S and BLÅ.
Rémi Barbier is a French perfumer born in Provence, whose early experiences with the aromatic, woody and resinous scents of the Provençal countryside (thyme, rosemary, pine, cistus) drew him toward olfaction. After earning a bachelor's degree in chemistry, he completed an internship with perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena, an encounter he credits with confirming his desire to become a perfumer-creator. He then enrolled at the French post-graduate perfume school ISIPCA in Versailles to complete his training. Barbier has worked as an independent perfumer, creating fragrances such as Acqua (Jeanne en Provence, 2015) and Glamour (CIEL Parfum), and he is also the nose behind O.P.S and BLÅ for the independent brand Kensla Studio.
