About

Verônica Kato (also credited as Verônica Casanova) is a Brazilian perfumer born in Bastos, in the state of São Paulo. She holds a degree in Pharmaceutical Biochemistry from UNESP (São Paulo State University). Kato began her career in 1990 at Dragoco, now Symrise, and was trained at the company’s perfumery school in Holzminden, Germany, with further specialisation periods in Hadley, England, and Grasse, France. Since 2006 she has worked for Natura, the major Brazilian cosmetics and fragrance house, where she is their in‑house perfumer and the only Latin American perfumer holding such a role in a company of this scale. For Natura she has created numerous fragrances across lines including Faces, Una, Amó, Kaiak, Ekos, Humor, Biografia, VôVó and Sou.
