Yves Cassar

Yves Cassar

France Born 0 Estée Lauder

Cassar is known for a strongly materials-driven style rooted in raw material science and quality control. His work often highlights refined woods and clean, luminous florals, as seen in Tom Ford for Men, Estée Lauder Pure White Linen and Bella for Vince Camuto. At IFF he collaborates with LMR on novel and upcycled naturals, including turmeric from distilled leaves, and he integrates these materials into compositions such as Henry Rose’s Fog, Last Night and Smith, where he explores facets of vetiver, musk, woods and vivid fruit notes like green apple.

About

Yves Cassar is a French perfumer and Vice President Senior Perfumer at International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) in New York, where he has worked since 1998. Cassar studied Chemistry and Biology at Université Valrose in Nice, and early in his career he moved to Grasse, where he analyzed the quality and purity of natural oils and aroma chemicals and later managed production of ingredients such as cinnamon bark, celery seeds, and absolutes of jasmine, rose and mimosa. He has created fragrances including Tom Ford for Men for Tom Ford, Estée Lauder Pure White Linen for Estée Lauder, Calvin Klein Crave for Calvin Klein, Bella for Vince Camuto, and several Henry Rose perfumes such as Last Night, Fog and Smith.
